There are reasons why you would want to relocate a swing set. You may be moving to another home and want to take the swing set with you, or you may need to get rid of it because your children do not use it anymore. It is important to relocate the swing set in a proper way as to not cause any damage to the set. A hardware store can give you ideas on how to remove everything from the swing. The first thing you need to do before you relocate a swing set is to take everything off of it that you can. This includes the swings, slide and any other bars or movable items that are on it. Beginning with the top of the swing, start taking the bolts out of the swing on one side. There should be at least two on each side of the swing that held the movable parts in place. When the bolts are out of one side of the swing, remove the legs that support the swing set. Then move to the other side and repeat the process. When the entire swing is taken apart, you need to put all of the loose bolts in a bag so you know where they are when you put the swing back together.
